Matte black caliper paint as hood paint?
I searched the forum first, can not find an opinion on this. Under the hood I have been using Duplicolor Matte Black caliper paint left over from calipers and $15 can so thought sure, engine accessory brackets this will work. It lays down nice and even and has a nice flat to satin look, then I thought about my hood and bumpers… this is durable paint that will stand up to heat and cures nicely, any reason I would be sorry repainting my hood and bumpers with it? 360 Engine Brackets from 67 B Body into A Body
I know the engine brackets (not the rubber isolators) have been discussed ad nauseum here but this particular question I couldn’t find. I found a set of 340/360 mounts from a ‘71 Road Runner, they are still bolted to the engine and in the car. KH brake help
Hello all,
I’m in the process of changing over my brakes to the KH disc brakes.
I have the completed setup but having a hard time getting the pistons out of the calipers. I tried air to no avail used grease got one piston out but can’t seem to get the other one out. I’ve tired to place a metal plate over the removed piston and the grease just keep squeezing grease out around the plate.
Also have the bleeders rusted and can’t get them to move. Don’t want to brake them off.

1972 Duster, $27,500 OBO
Selling my baby, time for her to make someone else smile. I have pretty much stopped driving and haven't put 1,000 miles on it since 2019. Nothing original - a total resto-mod completed in 2011 with every system upgraded to make a great cruiser. Besides rpm difference what would be the expectation from a 4.56 gear vs a 4.10 gear ?
I'm going to be putting my dana 60 together in a couple weeks after I finish prepping it.
The car is a 70 dart, I'm guessing it will weigh 3300 with me in it.
The slicks are 30.6 tall.
By the Dyno numbers I'm guessing it will run low 10s and 130-135 mph.
I have done the calculations for both gears.
I started off with the 4.56 but since my 470 is making peak power at 5800 I decided I don't need to rev it...

440Source “Stealth” heads, your experiences and opinions
I'm looking at a set of the "Stealth" heads from 440Source. This would be a mild build in a 100% street application. I'm just curious to see what those of you that have run them, had friends that run them, and know those that hate them, what have you experienced?
I do NOT like the fact that they're made in China, but I'm not seeing any other stock-type aluminum 440 heads on the market.

This had a 360 but I blew it up. I have too much fun with manual transmissions. I bought this back in 2020. Finally doing something with it. It’s just gonna be a driver, kinda down and dirty.

What will cause my float bowls to go dry
OK Here is what I'm running. It is a Holley #4150 (750) and it was rebuilt with the Quick Fuel Tech. billet metering blocks on both sides.
Here's the problem. When the car sits for a few days both of the bowls are dry. Even the pump is dry.
And here's another thing. If you let the car sit for a half hour and then restart it, it just runs really poor. It seems like its really rich.

Wheel hop. 68 383 4 spd
my barracuda convertible 3:23 gears. Stock suspension with a snubber. On takeoff it really hops and bangs. Maybe snubber banging floor? Tires are new and I’m sure grab well vs. spin. I don’t know what to consider first. Any help /suggestions appreciated. Just a street car but if I’m low on RPMs it bogs/stalls and if I run it up there it’s equally embarrassing with hopping etc..
